Today, the students in our neighbourhood will be given their login details for the Mathletics website. Mathletics is an e-learning website which aims to engage and motivate students to improve their maths skills. There are many activities available for students ranging from number skills such as addition and multiplication, to concepts such as measurement and 3D shapes. The websites also contains animated mathematics dictionary as well as a Concept Search function that provides a detailed explanation on any given mathematical concept.
Students should login at home, explore the website and attempt some of the activities on offer. Although we will be visiting the site in our neighbourhood occasionally, we hope that Mathlectics can become a part of home learning for many students.
